License Plate(s) of the Day

On two unrelated Scion Toasters:

MMM BOX

O2B SQR

Plate of the Day

XXL EGO

Truth in advertising, I guess.

Plate of the Day

Today’s Plate of the Day, on a big, black SUV with dark windows:

POLIOE

It had one of those clear plastic covers over it, and there was a smudge on the second O (which I can only assume was intentional). So you couldn’t tell that it was an O, and not a C, until you were right up on it.

I have no idea how that’s legal.

License Plate of the Day

I see this one a few times a year, and it takes me a minute to figure it out every time:

BLCHWK

I would guess every other normal combination was taken, and the owner was just determined to get it no matter how much he had to torque it. But I still go “Blich Walk? Blichwick? Huh?” every time I see it.

(Bad shortening decisions always make me think of “SIMP FI” — I haven’t seen that one in over a year. I figure either someone explained the typo to him and he replaced it, or he was beaten to death by literate Marines.)

Yep.

Today’s license plate may be one of my favorite ever:

AAAUGH

Short, sweet, to the point, and I feel that way every day.

Easily impressed

Today’s plate was:

NORMAN

And I only mention it, because it made me think of this. I think that’s an insanely cool name. Just obscure enough to be good, without really being haha funny. (which is not to say that junior high didn’t suck for him…)

p.s. As usual, if you want anything resembling content, it’s over here.

Clever? Probably not.

Today’s plate was on a Mercedes:

BENZO 8

This could be funny for a lot of reasons, depending on the driver - bitter, well-preserved, clean, etc - but I think it was probably a coincidence.

I laughed anyway. But that’s probably not surprising.

Nice.

Today’s license plate of the day is:

HIT-RUN

No, I’m not kidding. And no, it wasn’t on one of those baseball team plates. On the other hand, I bet it keeps people from crowding him on the freeway…

homophone

This one made me laugh too. I like the original thought, but I like to imagine they have a sense of humor, too…

I-SOAR

I saw these two, literally within three minutes of each other.

PRLE VU
MRD 4LF

And now I must go wash the stench of pretension off myself, for laughing at that.
