That is such a lovely post. I also supported Palin in early days and those who heard me say it thought I was nuts. It is so wonderful to hear almost my exact experience expressed here with such articulate grace.

And you are SOOOOO right; we must NOT give up. We all must cast our votes to make this happen, and show these people, as JT said, that we’re not going to put up with them thinking they can sell our freedom based on some vicious digs at Sarah Palin.

I’ll be back as well.

It’s like I keep saying: I want a leader, not a Jeopardy winner.

I honestly think people are tired of the incessant attacks on Sarah, and now Joe the Plumber. They see through it. They understand this almost childishly transparent ploy — “Oh my Gaia, Biden said if Obama’s elected, we’ll be attacked. Quick, what percentage of Obama’s daily ad buy did Palin’s clothes cost?” And we’re not going to fall for it. These jerks think we’re stupid, and we need to prove them wrong in the voting booth.

It’s almost as bad as when I’m at work and people just start to talk to me, abusing The Cuda, assuming that I’m in agreement with them.

Excellent commentary. I, too, was a big Gov. Palin fan before McCain picked her. Most of my co-workers knew who she was because of me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think McCain would be smart enough to pick her. But he did.

She is what the GOP needs, now more than ever. Anti-corruption, smart, pretty and dedicated. And young. It’s time to push the old guard out the door into retirement and start with the new wave of Palin and Jindal et al.

I too liked Sarah before she was picked, and thought she never would be remotely considered. The day she was chosen, I had my 5yo daughter watch the speech with me, and I told her “That is a woman you can look up to.” Truth be told, I look up to her myself.
